My ex used to hit me a lot and i find that now when loud people are around me i get uptight. i know intellectually its different than my ex but i find i have difficulty concentrating on my work, even after they stop being loud - i've wondered if it has to do with hypervigilance, feeling on guard for them returning? Does anyone have difficulty concentrating like this and if so, what helps with that?
