Does anyone have kids with a Narc?

Anyone here have kids ( young 8-15) that have to have weekly contact with the covert narc parent? I am looking for advice on how to deal with the abuse.

The narc often times uses the "I'm joking.." line after he has made my daughter cry.

Over here I am trying to heal myself, physically and emotionally from abuse since birth.

I often times think that what I am doing for my kids is not enough to out weigh the torture he puts them through.

I've consulted my lawyer, emotional and verbal abuse is not enough to get visitation taken away. Especially since it is done so covertly. She acted like I was just a over sensitive parent. Plus I do not have the funds to hire legal council. I hate this for my babies.

I do have a 16 year old Son with him mother for the past 8 years I feel strongly about child abuse so seeing you mention him doing that to your daughter brings a lot of anger. I do not have an answer for you except that I do understand where you are coming from..and you are trying to heal your self.

I am 56 yo man in Costa Rica. I am from the States as she is. As she left with my Son to go back a month ago, I found the need to at least label what had happened for the past 25 years so I am still in a state of shock day to day as I learn more.

A few days ago I asked my Son to use an alternate email because every time I log into the main one I see she has sent many EM all drama and asking for more money. She has my Military pension so I told her to find a job.

Well she did the ultimate as my Son told me yesterday. She had a Stroke. I don't believe it for a minute. I really should have seen this one.

My Son has friends coming from Canada to go on a trip and of course she will need him as a care giver, so trip is off and his life is off if I do not find a way to get through to him.

It took a little longer to get the other shoe to drop. She now has a documented (supposedly) medical situation so she can not work.

How sick is this?

I will think more on your situation and see if I can come up with anything.
