Is it Hoovering?

I told my husband of 15years a few weeks ago that I thought I might want a divorce. He cried, said sorry and asked for a chance to do better. Has been perfect husband father since. I asked him tonight how he could be so angry and hateful and mean to calm and loving over night. He said it is mostly realizing his behavior. I said so you didn't know how bad you were being. And he said not really and tried loving on me. I thought wtf?
